Stephen has been a qualified trade mark attorney since 1981 and joined Wildbore & Gibbons LLP in 1993.
Prior to joining Wildbore & Gibbons LLP, Stephen gained valuable industry experience with Turner & Newall and Thorn EMI. He moved into private practice in 1983.
Stephen is a Fellow of the Institute of Trade Mark Attorneys (ITMA). He has degrees in English (Oxford, 1977) and Law, including an LL.M in European Union Commercial Law (Leicester, 2001).
He is a European Trade Mark Attorney and currently an external examiner for the Postgraduate Certificate in Trade Mark Law and Practice at Queen Mary College, University of London.
Stephen is an accredited Trade Mark & Design Litigator with a right of audience in the County Courts and the right to conduct litigation in the High Court.
Janella, who has 25 years’ experience as a trade mark attorney, joined Wildbore & Gibbons LLP in 1997. She is also a European Trade Mark attorney and has served on the Council of ITMA during which time she became particularly involved in the Information Committee of the Council. Janella has previously been an ITMA examiner and a student tutor.
Gloria joined Wildbore & Gibbons LLP in 1997. She is a registered trade mark attorney, a European trade mark attorney and a member of the Institute of Trade Mark Attorneys, having qualified in 2000.
Gloria passed the Queen Mary & Westfield College Certificate in Intellectual Property with credit, has an honours degree in Chemistry & Biology and speaks fluent Italian.
Camilla is a non-practising solicitor with an honours degree in French and German. She is a registered trade mark attorney, a European trade mark attorney and a member of ITMA, having qualified in 2000 with three examination prizes to her credit.
Camilla joined Wildbore & Gibbons LLP from an Oxford-based firm of solicitors in 1998.
Senior Trade Mark Attorney
Joanna joined Wildbore & Gibbons LLP in 2013. She is a highly experienced trade mark specialist having been a partner in her own firm for 7 years before relocating to London. Joanna has expertise in dealing with a full range of clients across a wide spectrum of business sectors including the retail, food and drink, telecommunications and media sectors. She has advised multi-nationals, SMEs, public sector bodies and start up companies.
Joanna originally studied chemistry at Imperial College (BSc Hons First Class ) before being called to the English Bar. She also passed the Queen Mary and Westfield College Certificate in IP with credit.
Renewals and Records Manager
Marie, who joined us in 1993, is our renewals and records manager. Marie is an integral part of the Wildbore Team as she oversees the maintenance of all the worldwide trade mark portfolios of our clients. She is an Associate Member of the Institute of Trade Mark Attorneys, having passed the ITMA Administrators Course. Marie also manages our clients’ subscriptions to the trade mark watching service.
Sarah joined us in 2011 as a researcher. She is currently working as a Part Qualified Trade Mark Attorney whilst studying The Trade Mark Practitioners Course at Nottingham Trent University. Sarah has recently successfully completed The Certificate in Trade Mark Law and Practice at Queen Mary, University of London and is working towards qualification in 2014. Sarah read law at Cambridge.
Sarah is a member of two ITMA committee working groups and is a student member of ITMA.
John heads our client service team. He has particular expertise and experience in marketing and client service strategies in professional services firms having headed the marketing teams in 4 law firms over the last 15 years. John is a regular speaker on brand and marketing strategy as well as on the commercial aspects of IP strategies. John’s expertise in branding enables our team to provide our clients with both a commercial and legal perspective on protecting and developing their brands.
John plays an active role in Young Enterprise in Oxfordshire as a Board Member and former Chairman. He frequently presents seminars for the benefit of Young Enterprise companies and students. John is also supporting the development of 02i (“Opportunities to Inspire”) with talks, seminars and presentations to Oxfordshire schools.
John is a Fellow of the Institute of Direct and Digital Marketing (FIDM) and co-founder of Firm Elite.
